Imagine
Larbert High School envisions a dynamic learning landscape driven by technology. Initiatives like Digital Champions and our Digital Collaborative Improvement Group foster a creative digital culture.
Our staff participate in collaborative professional learning via a comprehensive CPD program focusing on pedagogy. Tech Meet observations facilitate sharing of best practices, complemented by a dedicated Staff CPD website for ongoing digital resources.
iPads are utilised to deliver high-quality learning materials, personalised feedback, and foster collaboration. Our innovative virtual classes also broaden our curriculum and expand learning opportunities, providing seven online courses to over 200 pupils across our region.
We are using technology to redefine what learning looks like for our young people.
Impact
Our 1:1 iPad program has revolutionised experiences for our pupils in the classroom. Over 90% of pupils believe that digital technology enhances their learning, fostering increased engagement.
In addition to imparting subject-specific knowledge, our teachers are nurturing learning environments that promote digital literacy. This approach has led to 89% of students feeling adequately supported in effectively utilising technology in the classroom.
By establishing an S6 Pupil Digital Leadership Academy, launching an online learning hub, and over 100 staff becoming Apple Teachers and regularly engaging in our CPD programs, the positive influence of Apple products permeates throughout our school community.
