The Carron Dams

At Larbert High we are privileged to have easy access to The Carron Dams Local Nature Reserve which lies on our doorstep. This unique, wetland environment is a legacy of the Carron Company which dominated the local landscape for over 200 years. Many faculties across the school use this a context for learning and several high profile projects use the Carron Dams as a source of inspiration.

Spark and Grit

As part of our forthcoming celebration of the Carron Company legacy which will take place in November 2017 at Carron Dams LNR we invite you to share your memories of the Carron Company. Lorna Swinney from the LHS English and Media Faculty is hosting an afternoon for local people to share their memories and experiences of the Carron Company. This is drop in session from 2pm-6pm, please report to reception on arrival and feel free to spend as much time as you like. See information below for further details.
